Bret Connor

Chief Executive Officer

Bret Connor joined Model N in January 2025 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Model N, Bret served as the Chief Operating Officer at athenahealth, a $2.4B SaaS platform for medical practices. During his tenure at athenahealth, Bret helped take the company private, executed strategic M&A, recapitalized the company with a $17B valuation, and achieved a #1 NPS ranking.

Prior to athenahealth, Bret was an executive at VMware, where he led their Professional Services business in the Americas. In addition to his technology leadership roles, Bret was a consulting leader at McKinsey & Company, specializing in high-tech business transformations. He also held roles at Goldman Sachs, Commerzbank AG, and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett.

Bret received his BA in Economics at the University of Chicago and earned his MBA at Harvard Business School. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife and daughter. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Perkins School for the Blind.

Amar Jani

Amar Jani

Chief Financial Officer

Amar Jani serves as Chief Financial Officer at Model N, leading the company’s financial strategy, operations, and planning. With over 25 years experience and a strong background in both finance and the software industry, Mr. Jani plays a key role in driving growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.  Prior to joining Model N, he was Chief Financial Officer at Medable, a leading clinical trial software platform for the life sciences industry, where he drove business transformation through growth and strategic execution. Prior to Medable, Mr. Jani held senior executive finance positions at Celonis and Alteryx where he successfully scaled the organizations through hyper growth stages by leading financial planning, capital funding, and analytics for public and private enterprise software companies.  Earlier in his career, he led teams at AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, and PricewaterhouseCoppers.  Mr. Jani holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BA in Economics from UCLA.  He resides in Southern California with his wife and two daughters.

Suresh Kannan

Suresh Kannan

Chief Product Officer

Suresh joins Model N with over 25 years of combined experience in product development, product management and general management. He is an accomplished executive with deep engineering expertise but is also well rounded with experience managing professional services, customer support and sales. Suresh brings a unique depth of knowledge in the life sciences software space and is adept at managing product portfolios at varying levels of technical maturity.

Suresh began his career at IBM before his time at Oracle in progressive software development leadership roles. He then led Engineering and Product Management at DecisionView prior to its acquisition by IMS Health. As VP of Product Development at IMS Health, Suresh was responsible for a growing technology product set and built solutions around drug trial protocol, cost forecasting, pricing and optimization of the entire clinical development process while scaling his team to hundreds of employees globally. During this time, Suresh has led multiple acquisitions and played a key role in the merger of IMS and Quintiles. In 2017, Suresh moved into a GM role at the rebranded entity, IQVIA, where he created and led the Content Management Solutions business across product management, engineering, product marketing, professional services, sales and support.

Rehmann Rayani

Chief Services Officer

Rehmann Rayani joined Model N in 2018 and is currently Chief Services Officer, responsible for leading all services lines including Professional Services, Application Services, Business Services, Education Services, and Services Operations. Previously, Rehmann was Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer at Model N responsible for Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, and Global Marketing during a period of business model transformation which led to the company sale to Vista Equity Partners in 2024. Rehmann brings 20+ years of experience in enterprise software and technology as a strategy and go-to-market leader. Earlier in his career, Rehmann held various management roles at Plex Systems (sold to Rockwell Automation), Oliver Wyman, and ValueAct Capital.

Rehmann holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a degree in finance and physics from McGill University.

Angel Rogers

Angel Rogers is a senior Customer Experience executive with over 17 years of experience leading customer-facing teams and functions at top technology companies. Most recently, she led Global Customer Success and Renewals at Rockwell Automation, where she was responsible for driving customer value realization and recurring revenue growth across software, services, and product portfolios. Prior to Rockwell, Angel held leadership roles focused on building strategic customer relationships and scaling high-impact teams.

Angel is deeply committed to cultivating inclusive, safe, and high-performing environments that empower teams and drive business outcomes. She is also active in community and industry engagement, serving on external advisory councils, participating in Employee Resource Groups, and currently leading as President of the Tennessee Chapter of the Gift of Adoption board. She holds a degree in Communications and lives in Nashville with her family.

Missy Waggoner

Chief People Officer

Missy Waggoner joined Model N in September 2024 as the company’s Chief People Officer. Missy fosters an environment where employees can learn, grow, and thrive by focusing on the holistic Employee Experience, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning and Development.

Prior to Model N, Missy was the Chief People Officer of Apptio, an IBM company, and built her career in recruiting and talent acquisition with companies such as T-Mobile, Microsoft and Amazon.

Missy is passionate about enhancing business outcomes by cultivating an employee experience that inspires and motivates employees to do their best work. She prioritizes a human-first approach, she’s results driven, and continuously seeks improvement.

Missy earned her bachelor’s degree from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA.

Brian Mullen is a seasoned sales executive with nearly four decades of experience driving revenue growth and building high-performing teams. Currently serving as the SVP of Global Sales at Model N, with six years of experience on staff, he brings a proven track record of strategic sales leadership across both emerging and established markets. Based in Colorado, he is passionate about helping organizations reach their full market potential—and spending time on the golf course whenever he can!

VP of Growth Marketing

Adam Steele is the Vice President of Growth Marketing at Model N, where he leads the company’s marketing organization, including demand generation, events, marketing operations, digital strategy, communications, and brand. Since joining in 2019, he has built and led high-performing, collaborative teams focused on executing data-driven strategies that support scalable growth and strong sales alignment. With over 15 years of experience in B2B marketing, Adam brings a broad background across marketing functions and a passion for using analytics and emerging technology to drive results, develop talent, and deliver positive revenue impact.

Adam is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Business Administration.
