Fabless semiconductor leader selects end-to-end solution to support quoting, pricing, ship and debit, and inventory tracking
REDWOOD SHORES, CA – February 4, 2014 – Model N, Inc. (NYSE: MODN), the leading revenue management solutions provider to the life science and technology industries, today announced that CSR plc (CSR: London), a leading multinational fabless semiconductor company, has selected Model N’s Revenue Management suite to drive direct and indirect revenues worldwide. CSR is a global company that has developed its business by creating pioneering silicon chips and software for technology platforms. CSR was looking for a platform that could fully support all opportunity management processes across the business and help drive future growth.
“CSR has undergone a tremendous period of growth over recent years and has many opportunities to further advance in the consumer electronics space,” said Jong Pak, vice president, worldwide business operations at CSR. “By partnering with Model N, CSR will have a world-class solution to support the entire transactional relationship with our customers and distributors.”
CSR will globally deploy Model N’s Revenue Management suite for semiconductor companies including: Global Price Management, Deal Management, Deal Analytics, Channel Revenue Management, and Contract & Compliance Management. The Model N deployment will be fully integrated with SalesForce.com.
The Global Revenue Life Cycle
According to Gartner, global semiconductor revenue totaled over $315 billion in 2013. Semiconductor companies need strategies and tools to bolster this progress and hedge against potential declines. With the industry growing, CSR is making strategic investments to gain advantage with faster deal cycles, global pricing control, and increased utilization of ship and debit. Most semiconductor companies realize that pricing and deal negotiations are global processes. Yet Model N believes that many companies still lack the strategies and tools to fully address the impact of global deals.
To support their expanding global business, CSR wanted a more strategic revenue management foundation that could tightly integrate into its SalesForce.com CRM and Oracle ERP deployments. Model N’s Revenue Management suite provides a complete, strategic view of the entire revenue life cycle and the transactional relationships within distributed sales, from planned to negotiated to actualized revenue.
“Model N looks forward to helping CSR drive revenues across their expanding global business,” said Chris Larsen, senior vice president and chief sales officer at Model N. “The business challenges that semiconductor companies face are complex and unique. With many of these companies throughout the US and Europe as customers, Model N has already partnered with key players in the semiconductor industry and is experienced and committed to help advancing their growth and improving their bottom line.”
