Core Fundamentals

This course is intended for all members of the Model N High Tech implementation, administration, and management teams.

The course provides an understanding of Model N High Tech key functionality that is used across the application. The course reviews the Model N High Tech core platform topics, including how data security is applied within the Model N High Tech application. Participants learn creation and administration of users, accounts, channel partners, and contacts.  Participants also learn how to create and maintain the product catalog, including creation and use of Root Parts and their related functionality.

Attendees will work with Model N High Tech notification rules and alerts, including using date-based and escalation alerts, as well as publishing alerts. Participants learn firsthand how to utilize the Model N High Tech personalization options including creating and using saved searches and their own column layout on summary pages.

Users attending this course will be able to use the analytic functions available within Model N High Tech. This includes using existing reports, developing new reports using the Reports Developer’s Kit, creating, using, and publishing dashboards and charts, and effective use of the business analysis function.

It briefly reviews the configuration and integration options .

Course Objectives:

Intended for application developers, implementation team members, and technical support members, this course will enable participants to identify proper configuration choices, implement those choices in their test environment, and eventually migrate those changes to the production environment.

The course provides participants with hands-on experience with configuring the Model N High Tech application pages and processes and will cover:

Business Process Implementation

This course provides participants with the knowledge of how the provided functionality of Model N High Tech behaves, with a goal of faster and smoother implementation due to better product understanding.

Participants learn how to create and manage leads, including when and how to convert or link them to opportunities. Participants learn how to directly create and manage leads for customer qualification. Students learn how to convert leads into opportunities and registrations, continuing to enter key data, and how to migrate these records into valid quotes, and from quotes onto orders or debits. Participants learn the logic of the Model N High Tech pricing engine. The course addresses how to create and maintain pricing rules, conversion rules, and multiple price books. Students learn how the pricing engine integrates with both OEM and MPP contracts (including step-pricing contracts). Attendees will learn the functionality and logic of advanced contracts and compliance.

The course guides participants through the business process of creating Forecasts, and understanding how forecasting can be used to compare current to previous forecasts, as well as to past and current sales orders.

Participants learn how to use the POS and Debit functionality of Model N High Tech, experiencing hands-on how to reconcile imported POS and credit data with the application data. Participants create and apply multiple commission rules, and review how the commission functionality relates to the sales process within Model N High Tech.

The course addresses the Model N High Tech application behavior as related to inventory, returned materials, price protection and stock rotation.

Description: This course is intended the members of the implementation team of a cloud installation that will be performing system and business administration for the Model N High Tech application. The course explores the functionality of designing and creating custom reports using the Report Developers Kit.  It teaches the functionality and execution process for managing Model N Print Templates. The class also explores the set up and use of the global time management within the Model N application.

Channel ImpACT

Course Objectives: This course is a one-day class designed to provide an overview of Model N’s Channel ImpACT (CI) Analytics tool. It will provide clarity into the channel sales, helping organizations gain better insight of the customer, understand the demand and make better business decisions. The class will focus on the Dashboard and visualizations to analyze the channel sales, along with the Ad hoc reporting capability to be able to create and share reports on the go. Students will build on the skills they learned in the ImpACT Fundamentals class to learn about and use the CI tool’s analysis templates — as well as how to create their own — to perform in-depth analysis to measure channel performance in multiple dimensions (including customers, wholesalers, products, and contracts) and use multiple key performance indicators. They will become familiar with the analysis models to research data, gaining granular visibility into channel performance.
