Technical Consultant, High Tech

Model N is looking for a technical consultant is responsible for activities such as data loading, system installation, customized development, interface configuration and testing, and integration with third-party software.  The Model N High Tech solution is a transaction-based, collaborative application implemented in Java.  We are looking for a technical consultant with experience working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent verbal communication, written communications, and presentation skills and is customer facing. 
 


Responsibilities:

  • Drive data loading efforts, work with customers to explain data formats; help customers with mapping, content analysis, and data loading, and report errors to customers
  • Develop and test customizations and work closely with solution architect on design changes and code reviews
  • Create custom applications that support and enhance the Model N High Tech solution using Java, Oracle, and scripting languages
  • Install Model N application internally as well as on customer sites; teach customers to become self sufficient in system installation and ongoing maintenance
  • Drive interface enablement, explain the standard Model N interface messages and formats to customers, assist customers with mapping and testing, configure interfaces to customer requirements
  • Provide consultation and support when needed to Professional Services business consultants and solution architects

Responsibilities:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Three years of information industry experience
  • One year ofexperience in server-side, real-time, transaction-based Java and Java/JDBC
  • Oracle PL/SQL experience required
  • JSP/Servlet, ASP, XML, Perl knowledge required; JRUN or WebLogic experience required
  • Experience in object-oriented design/programming required
  • Java Application Server architecture knowledge, Java performance knowledge a plus
  • May travel up to 25%
  • Must have excellent oral communications, written communications, and presentation skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
